KD Hall Foundation presents Rising Together: A Leadership Conference for Girls

KD Hall Foundation proudly announces an upcoming leadership conference, Rising Together, celebrating Women's History Month on Saturday, March 25th, 2023. This conference is designed to educate and inspire girls and promises to be a day filled with connection, mentoring, and girl power.

Girls on the Rise, the Foundation's signature program, is co-hosting the event. Women advocates will lead the panel from non-profits and philanthropies, all working together toward the 30-year goal of educating and mentoring girls globally. The event features a keynote speech from Crystal Langhorne, Director of Community Engagement for the WNBA Seattle Storm.

The conference includes two educational opportunities for girls. First, attendees will learn about the gender wage gap crisis, exploring ways to close it. Second, they will hear from Workshop keynote Khurshida Begum, a survivor of human sex trafficking. Begum will share her experiences and discuss how we can work to end this global problem that impacts girls.

This event is free and open to all young girls aged 11-17. It will take place at the historic 2100 building in Seattle's central district from 11 AM to 4 PM. In addition to the conference, local participants can learn more about Girls on the Rise, a stipend-paid leadership program to discover and advocate for global causes that uplift and change lives one girl at a time.

Women's History Month is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women throughout history, to which the KD Hall Foundation dedicates philanthropy, education, and application-based learning to our girls. Co-founder KD Hall hopes to connect with diverse girls and their support systems on Saturday, March 25th, 2023: “We are excited to celebrate Women's History Month with this inspiring and meaningful leadership conference for girls."

At KD Hall Foundation, they believe in girls' inherent power and are dedicated to providing education, mentorship, and experiential learning opportunities to help them achieve their full potential. The KD Hall Foundation 30-year strategy focuses on uplifting women and girls through programs like Girls on the Rise.
